Osk

Spanish born Osk [aka Oskar Vizan] is a composer/producer based in London.

Throughout his extensive career he has developed a consistent world of acoustic soundscapes materialised in a long list of solo projects and collaborations. He has worked with reknowned international artists such as Talvin Singh, Sultan Khan, Sarah Mclachlan, Miguel Bose, Sussan Deyhim, Ravi Prasad, Rui da Silva, Rakesh Chaurasia, Ustad Rahim Fahimuddin, Patricia Rozario, Sujaat Khan, Soichi Matsumoto, Smadj, Tundee Jegede, Daisuke Ishikawa, Frederic Norel, Etmo to name but a few. His work amalgamate a wide array of styles and media, international touring, production, film, commissions, etc.

His collaboration album Silver Liquid [Etmo meets Osk], composed with Etmo in a single session, is a clear example of how all his experience can come together when meeting another talented artist such as Etmo. Something unique its bound to happen.

Etmo meets Osk - Silver Liquid

Limited edition vinyl CD also available

A Cosmic Odyssey

The organic nature of Silver Liquid juxtaposes Etmo’s multidisciplinary use of brass and woodwind instruments, percussion and effects with Osk’s electronic wizardry when using both old analog and new technology - sh101, analog delays, iphone, ableton. This is how these two artists, with very different backgrounds, give birth to an intriguing new sound.

The album, which was recorded in a single session, sounds surprisingly solid for an impromptu collaboration thanks to an exquisite production work. Melodic yet unpredictable and even manic at times, Etmo and Osk deliver a sleek work full of suspense and character.

This cosmic odyssey takes the listening experience to a different level offering you a collage of landscapes, moods and weird creatures.

By the end of each track you’ll want to know the name of the film, but of course, there isn’t one.
